For those interested in entering into a Tech Career, but not interested or able to attend a 4-year computer science program, please see below info for 2 free, upcoming, entry-level tech job training programs:

  1. Year Up Puget Sound free year-long Tech Career Trainings and Internships for low-income young adults 18-26 years of age. Now accepting applications for new students for Spring 2022 training cohort. Learn more at Year Up virtual info session on Tues, January 25 @ 3pm.

  2. Per Scholas Seattle’s free IT Support job training program begins March 2022. This 15-week training program for low-income adults is full-time M-F 9am-4pm, and offers tuition, materials, and hardware at no cost. Application deadline for new students is Feb 21, 2022.

Year Up Puget Sound Jan 25th Info Session for Free Tech Careers Training/Internship for Young Adults (18-26)

Free one-year program (6-month classroom training & 6-month corporate internship) in 4 different tech career pathways:

  • Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Application Development & Support

  • IT Desktop Support/Helpdesk

  • Business Operations & Project Management Support

Minimum Requirements include:

  • 18-26 years old

  • High school graduate or GED recipient

  • Low-income

  • Available to attend classes Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (mix of in-person and remote) for full year of the program

  • Highly motivated to learn new tech and professional skills

  • Attend info session and successfully complete application and interview process

WHEN: Program begins April 2022 and is Full-Time, Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM

Per Scholas Seattle’s Free IT Support Job Training for Adults (18+) Begins March 2022 – App Deadline Feb 21

IT Support training provides opportunity to earn the Google IT support professional certificate and the CompTIA A+ certification and equips students with knowledge to fill a wide range of entry-level technology jobs.

WHEN: 15-week course begins March 7, Full-Time, Mon-Fri 9AM-4PM (virtual)

FREE: Tuition, Materials, Hardware, and Exam Fees are Free
